Simply Amazing C Family

C Family

We picked the MOST gorgeous day ever to take these family shots of the C Family.  It was fabulous!  I can’t help but love these kids…not just cause their mom’s my friend…but they are just cool and fun to be around.  One thing that blessed me being with them was their closeness to each other.  This famliy is tight.  Thanks guys for making my day even better!  It was fun.

The Prettiest Day of ‘08…so far

16 04 2008

Ms. E

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of meeting Ms. E and her wonderful mother at the Plaza for some seriously fabulous Senior Photos!  It was the prettiest day we have had in 2008, but the wind was wild!  I thought we might injure someone with my shading disc…or else her mom would take off in flight with it!   It took some time to wait for the wind to calm and get shots where her hair wasn’t flying all over, but I got some awesome shots of Ms. E.  She is such a beautiful person and I am so thankful I got to meet her and be part of her Senior year experience.

Amazing!

Wow..those eyes!

When Ms. L stepped out of the car and I met her for the first time, I was blown away by her amazing eyes.  I knew that photographing her was going to be fun and her pictures were going to be incredible.  I really loved her playful personality and taking her pictures was such a treat!  Thanks Ms. L!

So Much to Capture

Mr. B

We didn’t let chilly, windy weather and wet, soggy groud keep us from this Senior picture shoot!   By golly, the sun was out and time is ticking fast until graduation!   I always have a great time on my shoots, but I really enjoyed taking Mr. B’s pictures.  He has lots of interests and so we had lots of scene changes and clothes changes and prop changes on our quest to represent who he is in his Senior Pictures.  Here is one of the first shots I took.  Love the antique lacross stick!

3 Men and A Sister

3 Men and a Sister

This gorgeous family had one day to capture some photographs of the “children” before one of the sons headed back to his hunting guide post somewhere way up north.  It seemed like circumstances were going to detour us, but it came together well.   What a beautiful family…outside and in!  I can only imagine how great it would be to be “sissy” and have the protection of three big brothers.    Great photos guys!  Thanks.

Graduation Invitations

One of Several Designs

In preparation for the upcoming graduations, I have designed several photo cards that can be used for either graduation announcements or invites to open houses or parties.  The text and colors can all be altered to suit the client.  I will be adding more in the future weeks.  Check out my website gallery “Cards and Announcements” to see all of them…then call me if you want to order.

Better Take a Ladder

Perfect Reflection

I’ve known Eric since, gosh, I think probably 8th grade.  It’s fun to watch young people grow up…and he’s really grown!!   I definitely needed my step ladder for this shoot!  He’s an incredible basketball player and young man.  So, this shoot was interesting because my husband came along as my assistant.  First off, he insisted on driving, which was difficult since we were going to a location I hadn’t shot in before and I needed to scout it out (hard from the back seat!).   My “assistant” turned out to be a big help, although he kept cracking Eric up.  Pretty sure he was making faces behind my back!    Happily, Eric’s pictures turned out amazing!

Mr. J on a Sunny Day!

Mr. J

I like photographing someone with a great laugh and sense of humor.  I got the feeling that Jordan is the kind of kid who laughs a lot.  He got me laughing with his “blue steel” look and hopefully, the session wasn’t too painful for him.  We finally got a nice day and although the trees are not yet bringing forth their leaves, the Arboretium remains gorgeous!

O’ Brother!

Champs

This is one handsome duo!  Hunter and Garrett got their game faces on for this portrait for Dad’s office.  They should be proud…a part of the State Champion Blue Valley West Football team!

Love Abounding

Love

Probably one of the highlights of this year photographically for me had to be my session with Will and Chelsey…soon to be first time parents.  For one thing, I love this couple!  I have known them since they were college students and what a joy it has been to watch them grow, fall in love and marry.  The beauty of their relationship lies in many ways in their godliness.  The purity of their relationship and love before marriage has overflowed to a life together that is even more beautiful and NOW a beautiful gift from God is soon to be born into their lives.   I loved photographing them.  They adore each other and are almost giddy about their baby coming very soon.  What a blessing to be a part of their lives.
